Best VW Transporter (T6/T6.1) Styling Upgrades Guide (2026)

The Transporter does double duty for a lot of owners: it's a work van through the week and, for a growing number of drivers, a converted campervan or daily driver at the weekend. Either way, it's still one of the biggest vehicles on the road styling-wise, which means the right aero parts make a genuinely noticeable difference to how it looks parked next to a row of standard vans. Our T6/T6.1 range covers the full exterior: front splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and roof spoiler, in gloss black or a carbon fibre pattern finish.

Why Style a Transporter?

Beyond looks, there are a few practical reasons owners upgrade: a distinctive front and rear end makes your van easier to spot in a car park or depot full of identical white Transporters, a full aero set adds real resale appeal if you're building the van up as a campervan conversion, and every part here is designed to bolt straight onto the OEM bumper and tailgate shape, so there's no bodywork cutting involved.

Front Splitter (2015+)

Our front splitter is built specifically around the T6/T6.1 bumper shape (2015 onwards) and is available in gloss black or carbon fibre pattern ABS. Check your bumper against our fitment photos before ordering, as earlier T5 models use a different bumper profile.

Rear Diffuser (2015+)

The rear diffuser valance lip fits the same 2015+ bumper generation and is designed to sit flush under the rear bumper, adding definition to what is otherwise a very flat, slab-sided rear end on the standard van.

Side Skirts (4-Piece)

Supplied as a 4-piece set in gloss black ABS, the side skirts run the full length of the van and are the single change that does the most to visually lower the Transporter's tall stance.

Roof Spoiler: Tailgate vs Twin Door

This is the one fitment detail to get right before you buy: we stock separate roof spoilers for Tailgate door vans and Twin (barn) door vans, in gloss black or carbon fibre. They are not interchangeable, so check which rear door configuration your Transporter has before ordering.

Fitting Notes

All parts are supplied with 3M tape to help position the part before final fitting; this tape is for mocking up the fit, not as the permanent fix. Most customers finish the install with a stronger automotive adhesive such as Tiger Seal or Gorilla Glue for a permanent bond, and we recommend professional fitting given the panel size involved on a van this large.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these parts fit a T5 Transporter?
No — this range is built for the T6/T6.1 bumper and tailgate shape (2015 onwards). Please check the T5-specific range if you have an earlier van.

How do I know if I have a Tailgate or Twin Door model?
A Tailgate model has a single lift-up rear door; a Twin (barn) door model has two doors that open outward from the centre. This determines which roof spoiler you need.

Can I fit the side skirts myself?
Yes, though given the length of the panels we'd recommend a second pair of hands and professional fitting for the cleanest finish.

Gloss black or carbon fibre — which suits a Transporter better?
Gloss black is the more versatile choice across all van colours; carbon fibre pattern tends to suit vans already carrying black trim or a darker paint colour.
