Step 1: Check your fitment
Confirm whether your Mini is an F55 (5-door hatch) or F56 (3-door hatch) before ordering — the roofline and rear window profile differ between the two, so a spoiler cut for one body style won't sit flush on the other. Cross-check the fitment notes on the product listing against your V5C.
Step 2: Clean and prep the surface
Wash the roof and rear window edge thoroughly and dry it completely. Wipe the mounting area with isopropyl alcohol to remove all wax, polish and silicone residue — the roof collects more airborne grime than a boot lid, so give this area extra attention.
Step 3: Dry-fit before you commit
Place the spoiler along the roof's trailing edge without removing the adhesive backing. Check it's centred left-to-right and sits flush against the curve of the roofline along its full length. Use masking tape to mark its exact position before committing.

Remove the adhesive backing and, working from the centre outward, press the spoiler firmly into place within your marked guides. Step 5: Let it cure
Most automotive-grade adhesives reach a workable bond within an hour but need 24–48 hours to fully cure. Avoid motorway speeds, a car wash, or resting anything against the spoiler during this window.
