Best BMW 3 Series (E90-G21) Styling Upgrades Guide (2026)

Best BMW 3 Series (E90-G21) Styling Upgrades Guide (2026)

The BMW 3 Series is the biggest single range we stock, E90 through to G21, saloon, touring, coupe and convertible. With that much choice it is easy to end up staring at the collection page unsure where to start, so here is a proper breakdown of what actually fits your car and what it does for the look.

Front Splitters

Splitters are the fastest way to sharpen the nose of a 3 Series and they are generation-specific, so fitment matters more here than anywhere else. E90/E91 pre-LCI (2004-2008) and LCI (2008-2012) each get their own splitter in ABS Gloss Black or Carbon Fibre. F30/F31 (2011-2019) has a standard front splitter plus an M Sport-specific version that will not fit the standard bumper, so check which bumper you have before ordering. G20/G21 (2018-2024) covers both the pre-facelift and the 2022+ facelift kits, in Gloss Black or a full Carbon Fibre kit.

Rear Spoilers

This is where the 3 Series range gets deep. Saloon, coupe (E92) and convertible (E93) each need a different boot or roof spoiler, and on top of the standard shape we stock an M4-style spoiler for E90, F30 and G20 saloons if you want the sharper M-look line rather than the factory profile. E30 (1983-1993) owners are covered too with an unpainted classic boot spoiler. All of it comes in Gloss Black or Carbon Fibre finish.

Rear Diffusers

E90/E92/E93 diffusers come in single and twin-finisher layouts to match your exhaust, including an LED brake light version. F30/F31 goes further with single, dual, twin and quad-exit valances depending on trim, in Gloss Black or Carbon Fibre. G20/G21 gets a Gloss Black M Sport-style diffuser valance for the newest cars. Match the diffuser to your actual exhaust exit count or it will not sit flush.

Side Skirts

Gloss Black extension kits are available for both E90/E92/E93 and F30/F31, running the full length of the sill for a lower, wider stance without touching the factory skirt underneath.

E90 vs F30 vs G20 — What Changes

E90/E91/E92/E93 (2004-2012) is the classic shape and the widest range we carry for it, including the M3 widebody-style spoiler in M4 form. F30/F31 (2011-2019) is our best-stocked generation with the most diffuser and splitter options, including quad-exit for M Sport cars. G20/G21 (2018-2024) is the current shape and has the newest Carbon Fibre kits, including a genuine M Sport rear diffuser lip for the facelift. Whichever generation you're on, check your bumper (standard vs M Sport) before ordering a splitter or diffuser, since the two are not interchangeable.
