The Q3 is Audi's compact SUV, and across two generations it's grown from a slightly upright, boxy first attempt (8U) into a genuinely sharp-looking F3 with a proper Sportback variant. Because it's a smaller SUV rather than a saloon or hatchback, the styling upgrades that work best focus on the roofline and rear — breaking up the height of the tailgate and adding a bit of visual weight at the back — alongside a front splitter for the sportier SQ3/RSQ3-spec cars.
Rear Roof Spoiler: 8U (2012-2018)
For the original 8U Q3, we stock a rear roof spoiler in gloss black ABS that mounts above the rear windscreen, following the tailgate's natural line down into a subtle lip. It's a modest change but an effective one on the 8U's fairly slab-sided rear end, adding a shadow line that breaks up the height of the tailgate glass.
Rear Spoilers: F3 SUV (2018+)
For the current F3-generation Q3, SQ3 and RSQ3 in SUV body style, we stock a rear mid-spoiler in gloss black that sits lower on the tailgate than a roof spoiler, plus a separate rear roof spoiler option in gloss black for the same models. Both are aimed at the standard SUV body shape rather than Sportback — they will not fit the sloping Sportback roofline, so it's essential to check which body style you have before ordering.
Rear Spoilers: F3 Sportback (2018+)
The Sportback variant, with its coupe-like sloped roofline, needs its own parts. We stock a dedicated Sportback rear mid-spoiler and a Sportback rear roof spoiler, both in gloss black, shaped specifically to follow the Sportback's more raked tailgate rather than the boxier standard SUV shape.
Front Splitter: F3 SQ3 (2018+)
For the S Line and SQ3-spec F3 Q3, we also stock a three-piece front splitter in gloss black ABS, designed to fit beneath the S Line front bumper. This is the part that changes the car's stance most from a front three-quarter view, and being a three-piece design it's straightforward to align section by section during fitting rather than wrestling with one long single piece.
Fitting Notes
All of our Q3 spoilers and splitters are supplied with 3M automotive adhesive tape for a no-drill fit. SUV rear ends see more road grime than a low saloon, so before fitting any adhesive part we'd recommend a thorough panel wash followed by an isopropyl alcohol wipe to remove any wax or sealant residue, which is the most common reason an otherwise well-fitted spoiler fails to bond properly at the edges.
8U vs F3: Which Generation Are You Working With?
The 8U (2012-2018) is the rounder, more conservative first-generation Q3 with a single round-ish grille and no Sportback option. The F3 (2018+) is longer, lower and sharper-edged, offered as both a standard SUV and the sloped-roof Sportback, and is the generation SQ3 and RSQ3 performance variants are based on. If you're not sure which you have, the presence (or absence) of the Sportback body style and the more angular headlight shape are the quickest visual tells.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will an SUV-shape spoiler fit my Sportback Q3?
No — the Sportback's roofline is a different shape, so SUV and Sportback spoilers are not interchangeable. Always check your body style first.
Does the front splitter fit a standard (non-S Line) Q3?
It's designed around the S Line front bumper shape. Please compare your bumper to our fitment photos before ordering if you're not on S Line or SQ3 spec.
What's the difference between a mid-spoiler and a roof spoiler?
A mid-spoiler sits lower on the tailgate, closer to the rear window's base; a roof spoiler sits higher, above the rear windscreen. Both are available for F3 SUV and Sportback models.
Can I fit these myself?
Yes, all parts are designed for DIY fitting with the supplied adhesive tape, though we'd recommend a dry fit first to confirm alignment before committing to the bond.
