Best Audi A5 (B8/B9) Styling Upgrades Guide (2026)

Best Audi A5 (B8/B9) Styling Upgrades Guide (2026)

The A5 range covers three body styles across two generations, so this is one of the few guides where body style matters as much as generation.

Rear Spoiler — The Widest Category

This is where the A5 range is deepest. B8 Coupe owners can choose a standard boot spoiler (gloss black or carbon fibre) or a newer high-kick PSM ducktail style in gloss black. B8 Sportback (4-door) gets its own spoiler shape in gloss black, plus a PSM ducktail option. B8 Cabriolet has a dedicated boot spoiler too. On the B9, Sportback spoilers come in a standard gloss black shape, an M4-style wing (gloss black or carbon fibre), and a PSM ducktail style; B9 Coupe (S5/RS5) gets its own M4-style gloss black wing.

Front Splitter — Match It to Your Trim and Facelift

Splitters are split by facelift as much as generation: a B8 prefacelift (2007-2011) splitter, a B8.5 facelift (2011-2016) S Line splitter, a B9 pre-facelift (2016-2021) S Line splitter, and a B9.5 facelift (2021+) S Line kit for the newest cars. All are gloss black; the B8 prefacelift is also available in carbon fibre.

Coupe vs Sportback vs Cabriolet — Check Your Body Style First

Spoilers are cut per body style and will not cross over — a Coupe spoiler will not fit a Sportback, and Cabriolet models need their own part entirely. Confirm both generation and body style before ordering.

B8 vs B9 — What Changes

The B8 (2007-2016) and B9 (2016+) use different bumpers, boot shapes and facelift cut-off points (B8.5 from 2011, B9.5 from 2021), so always check your exact year alongside body style.
